Program Description

Increasingly, employers are utilizing social media platforms to recruit new employees. In the summer of 2017, McDonald’s introduced “Snaplications” in an effort to hire 250,000 workers. Are you maximizing your efforts on platforms such as Snapchat, LinkedIn, and Twitter to engage employers? Do your participants know how to utilize these platforms for making professional connections?

Join WPTI for this half-day training on using social media platforms to your advantage. We will discuss strategies to connect with employers and how to coach your participants on using these platforms in a professional manner.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  • Learn new strategies for engaging employers through social media platforms;
  • Be able to assist participants in utilizing social media platforms for the job search; and
  • Have an action plan for implementation.

Intended Audience

Career Coaches, Internship Coordinators, Job Developers, Program Directors

Facilitator

Sabeen Pirani, Director of Training
