The Foster Care Roundtable Series is designed to provide opportunities for leaders to respond to contextual, programmatic, and organizational issues faced when preparing and connecting foster youth to quality internships, employment and transitioning to post-secondary options.
The second session will focus on education services and will explore how colleges, universities and agencies, that are supporting young adults aging out of foster care, work towards creating the best path for each individual. You will get an opportunity to hear from subject matter experts, exchange ideas and strategies, as well as, network with speakers and colleagues.
Participants will walk away with:
- Networking with speakers and colleagues to exchange ideas and strategies;
- Holistic education models;
- Tips and strategies to improve preparedness and outcomes for HSE; and
- Best practices in afterschool and enrichment programs to support youth transitioning to Post-Secondary options.
The Foster Care Roundtable Series is generously funded by The Pinkerton Foundation and is in partnership with the NYC Administration for Children’s Services.
