Amy Landesman

Ms. Landesman joined WPTI as the Director of Training in April 2005. In January 2010, Ms. Landesman became the Deputy Executive Director and in July 2010 was appointed as the Executive Director.

Ms. Landesman has over 15 years experience in management, training, technical assistance, program development and direct service provision. Previously, she was the Director of Training & Technical Assistance at NADAP, where she coordinated and implemented the OASAS-funded Technical Assistance Project. While at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA), she developed and conducted trainings for BizLink—a national project that linked employers with social service providers. Also at CASA, she co-authored a series of training manuals for employers who have hired individuals in recovery and produced a video that interviewed employers who successfully hired employees in recovery. While working at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, Center for Urban Community Services and Veritas, she was the Director of several housing and employment programs for individuals with mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness.

She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from SUNY-Albany and her Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University.

Sharon Sewell joined WPTI in September 2010 as Director of Program Operations. In this role, Sharon oversees WPTI training and technical assistance products and programs.Before joining WPTI, Sharon was vice-president of workforce development services for Wadley-Donovan Growth Tech, LLC, a practice that specializes in workforce and economic development consulting. Prior to WDG, she served as the Interim Executive Director of the National Association of Workforce Boards, where she worked with the nation's 600+ workforce boards including 15,000 business leaders. Sharon received her Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY Albany and her MBA in International Business from the University of Maryland University College. She also holds a certificate in International Business Studies from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
   

Tirza Barnes-Griffith

Tirza Barnes-Griffith joined WPTI in July 2008 as a Training & Projects Manager. Tirza has over six years of experience in workforce development, working with the Welfare-to-Work and TANF populations. Prior to WPTI, Tirza worked for the SUNY-Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC) - Bridge Program as a Career Advisor and Workshop Facilitator. In this capacity Tirza trained adults to prepare for and seek employment, gain skills for the workplace, and start a new career. As a consultant, Tirza has presented customized workshops that improve team-work effectiveness and leadership development among staff and managers of various non-profit and educational organizations, including City University of New York and the Human Resource Administration. She is also an active member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), the leading organization for experts who speak professionally. Tirza earned her Bachelors degree in Corporate Communications from Bernard M. Baruch College.
   

Greg Holley

Greg has over eight years’ experience in vocational guidance. He has worked throughout New York City with unemployed and formerly homeless adults to regain self-sufficiency and employable skills.  He has also spent this time working with the at-risk and hard to reach populations throughout the NYC Department of Education, NYS child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Prior to WPTI Greg served as Vocational Coordinator for the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services. In this role, he prepared young adults transitioning from care with vocational workshops, career exploration and job placement for successful workforce entry. He has worked with over 200 adults and adolescents in a workforce development capacity. Greg earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fordham University.
   
   

 
Tina Pettigrew

Tina Pettigrew joined WPTI in February 2010 as Registration Services Coordinator. In her current position, she manages the logistics of training and administrative duties involved with the operation of WPTI. Tina is currently diversifying her role at the organization to include the occasional guest speaking spot in training.  She holds a Bachelor's in Health Science from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Bioethics from  New York University.
